But it can sometimes get overwhelming especially with running your business, getting a podcast off the ground, or researching podcasts to be a guest on. That’s why you need to create a podcast one sheet.

A podcast one-sheet is your “resume” for handing out to podcast hosts so they can get a quick look at who you are and what you do. It’s what helps the host quickly determine if you are a good fit for their show. I found that the one sheet helps me to focus on what’s important to talk about as a podcast guest.
You can create your one sheet in Google Docs or Word. But Canva has many template options. Just search for “one sheet” and choose a template to use. You might get options for a resume but just choose a template you can easily work with.

What to put on your podcast one-sheet
It’s important to put only the most relevant information on your one sheet. Create a clean One Sheet that hits the main points you want to get across to the host. That said here are the basic parts of a one sheet:
- A short bio (you can always create a link if you want to give the host more info about your background.
- Your own media: A book, podcast, or any other media you’ve created
- What topics do you want to discuss
- Suggested questions hosts can ask you
- Your contact: All your contact and social media details that can fit neatly
